Abstract

The article reports that Woolshire Carpet Mills is the first U.S. manufacturer to introduce a carpet made from a blend of 80 percent New Zealand wool and 20 percent Alpaca. This fiber, from the fleece of a member of the llama family, is found naturally in 22 distinct colors and can be blended to produce an array of natural shades. The eight colors in the line range from soft beige to gold--all made without the use of dyes.
