Abstract

The article focuses on competitive advantage of embracing diversity for an organization. Organizational researchers have long known that intangible assets such as corporate image and reputation can boost organizational performance and constitute major sources of competitive advantage. Companies that do not embrace diversity will lose out in the talent wars. The insatiable hunger for talent means that companies must actively recruit talent from every demographic available. In sum, actively promoting diversity is not just the right thing to do in terms of equal opportunity, it is also the right thing to do in terms of growth and competitive advantage.
