- Discusses the decision of the court in two cases which deal with the issue of whether the words shredded wheat can be exclusively appropriated. Background of the two cases; Earlier cases in which it was held that descriptive words cannot be exclusively appropriated; Way in which others could make competitive manufacture possible without being deemed unfair to the original patentee.
