POR UMA VISADA CLÍNICO-POLÍTICA DA HOMOSSEXUALIDADE.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the act of declaring oneself homosexual as a clinical-political act. At first, we turn to the process of constitution of homosexuality by psychiatric knowledge in the mid-nineteenth century. Then, we question how it is possible to resist these medical conceptions that came to classify homosexuality as an abnormality. Finally, we emphasize that the act of declaring oneself to be homosexual deserves to be seen as an act of resistance that provides the subject with a certain elaboration of their questions, promoting, at the same time, a certain resignification in the conception of homosexuality.
