Beyond the Monochromes.

The article highlights the legacy of painter Brice Marden, particularly his retention of Abstract Expressionism amid the rise of popular art and minimalism. Among the inspirations of Marden for his paintings are Greek sculpture and architecture, Idian sculpture and Japanese and Chinese calligraphy.
