Abstract

This paper is concerned with the analysis and identification of opportunities for optimising electricity consumption in the context of temporary buildings. The study is based on real data obtained from electricity consumption measurements in a construction site. The main findings of the study include that temporary objects - mobile construction containers - have a significant share in the total electricity consumption during the construction period. The data analysis will focus on identifying the factors that influence electricity consumption and energy losses associated with these temporary objects. In particular, the proposed measures include upgrading electrical appliances to energy efficient systems and setting a fixed heating mode during the night in the cold months. The results of this study have the potential to contribute to improving the energy performance of construction projects and promote sustainability in the construction industry. Optimising electricity consumption in the context of temporary buildings can have a positive impact on the environment and reduce site operating costs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
