Abstract

A mathematical model for the determination of energy and exergy of system is presented. It is used to investigate the results and find out the relation between evaporator temperature, evaporator pressure, condenser temperature and condenser pressure on the exergy loss, second law efficiency and coefficient of performance. It is found that the exergy loss in evaporator is very much dependent on evaporator temperature and pressure, the same situation is found in condenser also. It is also found that refrigerant R1234yf has the minimum total exergy loss and highest second law efficiency. According to results obtained it can be concluded that selected refrigerants can be a good substitute to R134a. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
