- Examines the increase in the use of "presell tours" by publishing companies. Reports that presell tours, or meetings arranged by publishing companies between authors and booksellers, are a new method of persuading stores to carry new titles; Suggestion that presell tours are beginning to replace the more traditional book tours; Discusses how sales of the novel "The Wild Girl," written by Jim Fergus, benefited from a presell tour.
