Abstract

The article focuses on the development of a sense of humor in children. Shared laughter with one's baby is part of the social glue that creates positive relationships and defines self. Humor evolves quickly as thinking skills, emotional connections, and physical coordination increase. Most babies love a game of peekaboo. This universal game lays the groundwork for more complex humor. It encourages your baby to respond playfully as it stimulates her thinking. Even 1-year-olds can make jokes. Young children need to feel secure, which builds up their confidence to try new things.
