Abstract: The article presents abstracts on several papers related to geriatrics. On of papers examined nursing home facility characteristics associated with DNR orders among NH residents with severe cognitive impairment. Facility rate of DNR orders has been associated with feeding tube use and hospitalizations. Another paper provides information about Mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which is a transitional state between cognitive changes of normal aging and very early Alzheimer's disease .Treatments for MCI are not yet available.
