Abstract
- Kingdon's model for the analysis of legislative voting decisions was applied to the legislatures of two states, by conducting interviews with 141 legislators in Oklahoma and 147 legislators in Kansas. The most frequently mentioned influence on decisions in both legislatures was the personal values of legislators. The influence of other factors varied significantly from results reported by Ray for northeastern states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
