Abstract

We study the properties of pseudoscalar mesons, pion, kaon, η and η ′ , and compute the γ ∗ γ → π 0 , η , η ′ transition form factor in the framework of the Schwinger–Dyson equations and Bethe–Salpeter equations, using a momentum independent contact interaction. The contact interaction is capable to describe the observable properties, but produces a transition form factor whose evolution for large Q 2 disagrees with experiment and perturbative QCD.
