Abstract
- The foundation of subject librarianship is being the liaison to an academic department or school. The effectiveness of the subject librarian depends on the strength of his or her relationships with the faculty and students in the department. This article is about the ways subject librarians at the University of Washington creatively wear their titles. Here, the author shares a number of easy-to-implement, yet high-impact methods for reaching out to academic departments.
