Abstract

In this study, we use Monte Carlo simulation to analyze the magnetic properties of the ferrimagnetic CrI3-like structure with mixed spin (3/2, 1) structures. We start from the ground-state phase diagrams, and then discuss magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, internal energy, specific heat and phase diagrams of critical temperature, and finally present hysteresis loops induced by different parameters. It is found that the CrI3-like structure can show compensation temperature, rich temperature-dependence magnetization curves and magnetic multi-hysteresis loops behaviors such as double-loop, triple-loop and quintuple-loop. • A ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (3/2, 1) Ising model was proposed for CrI 3 -like structure with periodic boundary condition. • The effects of crystal field, exchange coupling and external magnetic field were studied. • Magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, internal energy, specific heat were discussed. • The phase diagrams of the critical temperatures were presented. • Interesting multi-loop hysteresis phenomenon were found.
