Abstract
- The article summarizes a work that analyzes the results of the National Survey on Beliefs and Religious Practices in Mexico in 2016. The work, coordinated by Renée de la Torre, Cristina Gutiérrez Zúñiga, and Alberto Hernández, involves the participation of over forty researchers and addresses topics such as religious change, religious practices, and secularism in Mexico. It is highlighted that religion in Mexico is undergoing a process of deinstitutionalization and individualization, similar to what happened in Europe in previous decades. The category of "no religion" has increased in recent years, currently representing 8.1% of the population. The work uses quantitative and qualitative methods to offer a comprehensive view of the religious phenomenon in Mexico. [Extracted from the article]
