Abstract

The article focuses on developing an efficient electrocatalyst for acidic hydrogen evolution in proton exchange membrane electrolyzers. It mentions the sulfur-doped marcasite-type electrocatalyst exhibits low overpotential, high stability, and acid resistance, making it a promising alternative to platinum catalysts. It highlight the sulfur doping not only triggers the formation of the acid-resistant marcasite structure but also enhances hydrogen diffusion and electrocatalysis.
