Abstract

The article focuses on the development of a genetic population suppression system called Ifegenia in the malaria vector Anopheles gambiae. It mentions by disrupting a female-essential gene, the system achieves complete genetic sexing through heritable daughter gynecide, allowing for sustained population suppression.
