Abstract
- An editorial is presented on surgical procedure not improving the outcomes in low-energy, geriatric, proximal humeral fractures compared with closed management. Topics include meta-analysis compared the results of hook plate fixation only with those of hook plate fixation plus coracoclavicular augmentation; and surgeons should counsel patients with regard to the high likelihood of secondary intervention following ORIF.
