Abstract

Starting from the idea of public value as a factor of optimization and to produce positive effects for whom it may concern, this article intends to analyze the generation of values related to the purchasing sector from the perspective of the collaboration of internal actors and aims to elucidate how internal collaboration contributes to the improvement of purchasing results. Using qualitative analysis in the form of a case study carried out in a centralized purchasing unit of a county, two collaborative purchasing practices were established through bibliographic research and unstructured interviews, therefore their impacts on the production of public values were defined. The results showed that the higher the levels of implementation of collaborative practices, the better the procurement results will be in terms of efficiency, efficacy and effectiveness, establishing a positive relationship between internal collaboration and value production in public procurement.
