- The author offers insights on the monetary policy of the U.S. Federal Reserve System (FRS). Topics discussed include the decision of the FRS to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged, the recorded decline in the stock of Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities of the FRS, and the reversal of the quantitative easing programme of the FRS due to high inflation.
