НЕОБХОДИМОСТ ОТ ОБУЧЕНИЕ НА СТУДЕНТИ ОТ СПЕЦИАЛНОСТ „МЕДИЦИНСКА СЕСТРА” ЗА ОКАЗВАНЕ НА МЕДИЦИНСКА ПОМОЩ ПРИ ИЗГАРЯНИЯ.

Thermal trauma is a complex disease with local and general manifestations affecting the whole organism. In parallel with the general changes, complications occur in the affected wound surfaces based on general biological regularities. In the healing process of burns, nursing care is an essential element of the overall healing and diagnostic activity. According to a number of researchers, nurses caring for burn patients should undergo additional training [3], [4], [5] and the formal education of students in the specialty should allow for a wider scope of knowledge in this field [6]. The aim of this study is to establish the need and attitude for training of students in the specialty "Nurse" to provide medical care to victims with burns. Material and methods. The study used documentary method, sociological (questionnaire) method, comparative and graphical analysis. The study was conducted in the period February - March 2023 among 167 students who underwent clinical practice in surgical departments. Results and discussion. A significant share of students (70.05%) did not observe a clinical case of a burn patient, 44.91% of them had practical knowledge of wound surface dressings, and 61.68% needed additional training on the topic. Conclusion. Graduate students must have knowledge of medical care in case of burning, regardless of their choice of workplace – hospital care or health offices of nurseries, kindergartens or schools.
