A practical flow synthesis of hydrazine derivatives from alcohols.

Herein we demonstrate the application of continuous flow technology to the synthesis of hydrazine derivatives by deoxygenation of free alcohols with di-tert-butylazodicarboxylate. This operationally simple protocol has excellent functional group tolerance and enables large-scale synthesis and late-stage functionalization.
