Análise da eficiência das maiores cooperativas agroindustriais do Paraná.

The present study aimed to ascertain the efficiency of the 5 biggest agribusiness cooperatives in Paraná, in the period from 2017 to 2019. Using a quantitative approach, the research is classified as exploratory, in relation of the goals, and documentary concerning the used procedures. The social, economic and financial data were extracted from the cooperatives' annual reports and in order to obtain efficiency indexes, using the Data Envelopment Analisys (DEA). Based on the results, a ranking of efficiency of the cooperatives was elaborated in the analyzed periods. Based on the variables used in the study, the results showed that, in 2017, 60% of the analyzed cooperatives reached the maximum level of efficiency. In 2018, this index rose to 80% and in 2019 it returned to 60%. It was observed that three cooperatives (Coamo, Cocamar and Copacol) achieved maximum efficiency in all the analyzed years. On the other hand, Lar fluctuated showing maximum efficiency in just one year, while C.Vale did not achieve maximum efficiency in any of the three years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
