Abstract

This paper summarizes morphological characteristics and physicochemical properties of MSN, and expounds the various characteristics of MSN, such as ultra-high specific surface area and controllable pore size, special mesoporous structure, ultra-high adsorption capacity, targeted delivery and intelligent response in controlling and releasing substance, stable dispersion on the high-temperature and high-salt condition. Besides, this paper summarizes the two applications of MSN in EOR, including stabilizing Pickering emulsion and intelligent controlling/releasing surfactant. It also pointed out that the application of MSN in biomedicine are enlightening, aiming to provide a reference for the practical application of MSN in the EOR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
