Abstract

The combustion effect of biomass fuel made by mixing straw and coal, the heat of combustion measurement device was used to determine the heat of combustion of mixed fuels at different blending ratios, and the synergistic effect of the combustion of the two mixed fuels and the combustion at different amounts of oxygen were investigated by changing the type of straw and the origin of coal.The result showed that the blended fuels produced favorable combustion aid under both oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor conditions with specific blending ratios. Infrared spectroscopic analysis of the changes in functional groups of the experimental raw materials further revealed that blending straw with coal could increase the content of hydroxyl and oxygen-containing functional groups and thus promote combustion and heat release.The differential thermal and thermogravimetric analysis found that straw has a dual effect on the combustion of coal, and the peak area of the thermal effect of its DTA curve is positively correlated with the heat of combustion of coal and straw at each blending ratio.
