Abstract

55 women (34.16%) had preterm labour, 68 (42.2%) had an emergency caesarean section, 25 (15.5%) had an operative vaginal birth and 25 (15.5%) had a spontaneous vaginal delivery (included 1 vaginal birth after caesarean section). B Method: b Data was analysed for the changes in rates of total births, induction of labour (IOL) and Caesarean section (CS), from a tertiary maternity unit over the last eleven years (2012- 2022). In the nulliparous CRB group, the average time from labour induction to delivery was 25.8 h. 31 women had normal vaginal delivery (NVD) with average costs of S$4244.00, 6 women required assisted vaginal delivery (AVD) with mean costs of S$4467.00 and 35 women required caesarean section (CS) with costs of S$6890.95.
