Lateral medullary infarction presenting as high‐grade heart block.

The article describes the case of a 35-year old male with left dorsolateral medullary infarction presenting as high-grade heart block. The patient underwent electrocardiography (ECG), brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the head and neck vasculature. The effect of ventrolateral portion of the nucleus ambiguus on atrioventricular conduction is discussed.
