Abstract
- Cities are at the centre of a renewed debate involving the plurality of fields of knowledge and national and international policy agendas, configuring themselves as places of education rich in unexpressed potential and cancelled rights. Starting from this viewpoint, this paper aims to reflect on the concept of learning cities and the pedagogical and regenerative value that urban spaces can assume, starting from their reappropriation by childhood. For this purpose, some concrete experiences insisting in the city's suburbs will be outlined, trying to systematize them to foster a resignification of places and achieve full participation of all and sundry through the construction of "competent" communities.
