Abstract
- In the continuum of events in which we are immersed also resides the dimension of fragility: a condition of "lack," certainly, but also a concrete possibility of redemption. From this point of view, the humanization of urban fabrics cannot disregard the support of careful and conscious planning, functional to the well-being and dignity of all people, especially the most fragile ones. These demands are answered by the model of social cohesion and sustainable development on which the idea of the “learning city” is based: a city that evolves and improves "thanks to" and "through" processes of lifelong learning by all its inhabitants, aiming at the synthesis between people’s needs and wants, inclusiveness and the humanization of community living.
