Abstract

Background: Improving the quality of education has a target on developing human resources in preparing themselves to face changes and developments in aspects of life in the future. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of student perceptions, interest in learning and the learning environment at school on mathematics learning outcomes at SMAN 17 Tangerang Regency. Method: The problems raised by researchers are student perceptions, interest in learning and the learning environment at school and the results of learning mathematics. By using ex post facto with a quantitative descriptive approach, the population in this study were students of class X IPS SMAN 17 Tangerang Regency, totaling 289 students. The sampling technique was by probability random sampling so that 134 students were obtained as the research sample. Primary data obtained from questionnaires on student perceptions, interest in learning and the learning environment at school as well as secondary data in the form of odd semester student report cards for the 2022/2023 academic year were processed using the multiple linear regression analysis method with the t-test and F-test using the SPSS version 25 tool . Results: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa, minat belajar dan lingkungan belajar di sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika di SMAN 17 Kabupaten Tangerang. Conclusion: Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing and the discussion that has been carried out previously, the resulting conclusion is that the relationship between students' perceptions and the results of learning mathematics in class X IPS SMAN 17 Tangerang Regency for the 2022/2023 Academic Year is positive, which means that the effect is significant and the contribution is real. Based on the frequency distribution table of 81.34%, it is in the high category, seen from various indicators that can influence students' perceptions of mathematics, such as: understanding of the definition of mathematics, understanding of the benefits and uses of mathematics and students' attention to mathematics.
