Abstract

• Non-optimal temperatures result in stress-related decreased growth rates. • Stress-related conditions result in increased starch and soluble sugars. • Lower temperatures are more stressful to L. minor compared to higher temperatures. • Lower phosphorous availability has no observable effect on starch/soluble sugars. • Light induced effects increased growth rates and also starch formation.
