Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) system has become the most popular devices in various sectors because the ability to produce clean and renewable energy at low costs, easy installation, and abundant sources of sunlight. However, if this abundance input source is not monitored properly, it can cause the solar cell device to be damaged due to excess input power so that a real time and Android-integrated system monitor is needed to maintain the PV performance. This study builds the monitoring system with the implementation of the Internet of Things using the NodeMCU microcontroller and the data is displayed using Blynk platform on Android. The system includes reading data, sending data and displaying data on the android system. The system is able to read data according to standard measuring instruments. Data transmission is represented in graphic with transmission data less than 30 seconds. The results indicate that this monitoring system has the potential to be used for real time control and monitoring of PV system with low cost and easy to use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
