Abstract

The resected tumour specimen is loaded into the specimen bag, and an incision of approximately 4 cm is made in the middle of the upper abdomen to remove the specimen. We present herein Video S1 of total laparoscopic left hemicolectomy using a novel IA method of U-tied end-to-end anastomosis (UEEA). Several studies have demonstrated that intracorporeal anastomosis (IA) has a lower overall complication rate [[1]], shorter hospital stay and less postoperative pain than extracorporeal anastomosis in laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for colorectal cancer [[2]].
