LECCIONES APRENDIDAS DE MI MINISTERIO SOBRE LOS ABUSOS CLERICALES EN COSTA DE MARFIL.

The article highlights the lessons learned about clerical abuses in Ivory Coast based on the experience of the Center for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons (ICMA) in Abidjan. The center promotes the responsibility of churches and society in protecting minors and vulnerable adults through awareness campaigns, training, and support for victims. Cultural, social, psychological, canonical, civil, and theological aspects of sexual abuse are addressed, emphasizing the importance of breaking the silence and impunity in Ivorian society. Although progress has been made, there is still work to be done in the Church of Ivory Coast in terms of structuring dioceses and institutes to receive abuse reports.
