Abstract
- The article explores the contrast between the enduring temporality of trees and the quick-time experience of humans in Richard Power's novel 'The Overstory.' It stated trees are depicted as symbols of memorialization, while humans exist in a shorter temporal plane individually and collectively due to their destructive behaviors. It also discusses however, when humans glimpse tree-time, they can slow down and experience life more slowly, akin to the stasis of trees.
