Abstract

This study was carried out in order to determine how OECD countries are clustered according to health supply and demand rates and to determine which OECD countries Turkey is similar to and to make some evaluations on the countries. 39 countries were included in the study. In the research, a total of 7 variables, 3 variables representing health supply and 4 variables representing health demand, were used. In the analysis of the data, k-means clustering analysis, one of the Ward analysis and nonhierarchical clustering analysis methods, was used. With the ANOVA test, the differences of the variables according to the clusters were determined. According to Ward's method, five clusters were formed and Turkey was found to be in the same cluster with Russia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. As a result of the k-means clustering analysis, the distance from the selected countries is at least Luxembourg has the highest number in Colombia. It has been observed that Turkey has the lowest values in two variables in the cluster it is in, and it does not have the highest value in any of the variables. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
