Abstract

Mangrove is an ecosystem located in the intertidal area, wherein the region has a strong interaction between sea waters, brackish and rivers. Mangrove Pasar Banggi Lasem Rembang is one of the mangrove areas in Java Island that has good management. This is proven by the utilization of mangrove areas in Pasar Banggi as ecotourism objects. Research method using descriptive research. This study showed that found six species of mangrove vegetation, namely Rhyzophora stylossa Griff, Rhyzophora mucronata Lamk, Rhyzophora apiculata Blume, Sonneratia, Sonneratia caseolaris, and Avicennia. While found eight species of mangrove wildlife, namely Uca pugnax, Scylla spp, Oxudercinae, Eurema hecabe, Physalia physalis, Sobulina octona, Egretta alba, Cirripedia and Paguroidea. The diversity index in the mangrove area of Pasar Banggi Red Bridge and where the diversity index value at 1,556, is included in the medium criteria. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
