INGRESSO COM NÍVEL SUPERIOR NA CARREIRA POLICIAL: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A INFLUÊNCIA DOS VÍNCULOS NA POLÍCIA MILITAR DE SANTA CATARINA.

This article verified the influence of higher education requirements on the commitment of military police officers to the organization. We used the literature that comprises three types of bonds: the bonds of commitment, entrenchment and consent, delimiting this study to the bond of "commitment". The study was characterized by a cross-sectional, descriptive survey, with a sample of 6212 police officers. Among the results, it was observed that the commitment presents a subtle increase after the requirement of higher education, as well as the military with more than 30 years of career, or with "fundamental" schooling, present the strongest commitment. In Brazil, the requirement of higher education in the military has been highlighted on the agenda of debates and this research brought some data for reflection on this subject. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
