Abstract

Introduction Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is a condition affecting up to 50% of multiparous postmenopausal women that is often associated with obstructed defecation syndrome and internal rectal prolapse. A 68-year-old Caucasian woman with symptomatic multicompartmental prolapse, rectocele, bladder neck obstruction, and obstructed defecation syndrome underwent nerve-sparing robotic sacrocolpopexy plus ventral rectopexy The prolapse was degree III according to the pelvic organ prolapse quantification system (POP-Q) (POP-Q Aa 0 Ba + 1 Ap-1 Bp -2 tvl 9 D -3 gh 4 pb 2).
