Abstract
- (B) Histopathological examination of one lesion demonstrated focal interface dermatitis with vacuolar change in the basal layer and only scattered necrotic keratinocytes. After 24 h, his minimal erythematous dose (MED) for UVB was inferior to 7.4 mJ/cm SP 2 sp (normal MED for Skin Type IV-V: 51 ± 6 mJ/cm SP 2 sp ).[3] Papule formation was induced by UVB doses greater than 33.3 mJ/cm SP 2 sp . (J/cm2, Joules per square centimeter; mJ/cm2, millijoules per square centimeter; MED, minimal erythematous dose). gl Biopsies of both spontaneous laterocervical lesions and papules resultant from phototest were carried out, revealing spongiotic dermatitis and interface dermatitis with scattered dyskeratotic keratinocytes, respectively, without periadnexal infiltrate or evident mucin deposition (Figures 1C and 2B).
