Abstract

Modeling the structure of fibrous material is carried out in order to study the laws of the formation of the properties of this material, its properties and to optimize the ways of using such a material in constructions. The purpose of the research described in the article was to develop the foundations for the formation of a universal model of the structure and formation of the properties of mineral wool products. The realization of the goal was based on the solution of the following particular problems: the study of methods for modeling non-isotropic structures including fibrous ones; formation of a structural model and obtaining analytical dependencies that reflect the main properties of products: strength, density, thermal conductivity; experimental verification of the obtained solutions. Properties of thermal insulation products corresponding to different states of the universal model, were evaluated in accordance with the current regulations. Experimental verification has shown good convergence of the results and the adequacy of the model to real processes. The model was developed and tested for mineral fiber products characterizes the structure of any fibrous thermal insulation material. The universal model is that on the basis of common structural elements and their characteristics, it becomes possible to assess the strength and thermophysical characteristics of products and assess the operational resistance of such products. The model can be used not only to predict its own fibrous products and changes in these properties over time, but also to solve technological problems: when describing the processes of formation and compaction of a fibrous carpet, studying the effect of the characteristics of a binder on the properties of products, studying the regularities of heat treatment of a mineral fiber carpet.
