Abstract

The article presents a discussion on the book "Change the World Without Taking Power: The Meaning of Revolution Today," by John Holloway. It cites that the aim of the book is to sharpen the Marxist views on capitalism. It presents a discussion on fetishism and fetishisation. Fetishism is the separation of doing from done, and the breaking of the collective flow of doing. The book also criticizes scientific Marxism theories which are the theories that attempt to enlist certainty on the side of socialism and predict historical change according to scientific laws.
