Abstract

Bromo Volcano is one of a series of active volcanoes in Indonesia which is located within the Tengger caldera, Probolinggo Regency, East Java. Bromo Volcano increased volcanic activity (seismic signals) at the end of 2015 to early 2016. The study was conducted to determine the characteristics of volcanic earthquakes. The method used to determine the characteristics of volcanic or volcanic seismic signals is the time frequency analysis (TFA) method. In the method, it can be seen that the frequency value is read from the spectrogram. The frequency that is read will describe the signal character of the Bromo Volcano. Knowing the characteristics of volcanic signals is part of volcanic monitoring. Bromo Volcano eruption was volcanic; there are signals of type B, volcanic tremor, and signal volcanic type A.
