Abstract

The genus Chisocheton sp. (Meliacea) is one of the Indonesian plant species that has been used to treat cytotoxic anti-cancer diseases. In this study, the toxicity test of the bark extract of Chisocheton sp. (C.DC) Harms against MCF7 breast cancer cells was carried out. Extraction was carried out by maceration method using three solvents with different polarity levels. From the bark powder of Chisocheton sp. (C.DC) Harms (Meliaceae). Cytotoxic test was carried out by the MTT assay test method. The results of the cytotoxic test on MCF7 breast cancer cells showed that the IC50 value of the n-hexane extract was 69725.00mg/mL, the IC50 value of the ethyl acetate extract was 248.80mg/mL and the IC50 of the methanol extract was 680.06 µg/mL. The ethyl acetate extract showed weak active cytotoxicity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
