Milk tea is a popular drink all over the world, which integrates two major materials of milk and tea, prevailing among young customers by constantly adding new color and taste materials and innovating in flavor and emotional expressions. However, the academic circle has paid less attention to the historical development and evolution of milk tea. Through a longitudinal review of the historical development of milk tea in China, this paper discusses the relationship between milk tea, ethnic integration and cultural exchanges, hoping to provide reference for the development of new tea drink related to milk tea in the modern times.
