Abstract
- The article discusses the rise and fall of the International Union of Timberworkers, 1913–1915, a labor union that formed in 1901 as the International Union of Shingle Weavers of America. It mentions that its history undermines the popular belief that only the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) embraced industrial unionism and was capable of being an inclusive labor organization in the Pacific Northwest timber industry during the 1910s.
