Abstract

This study deals with the studies titled "ethics" in ISAM Theology Articles Database. In this respect, it is aimed to reach the studies titled "ethics", which are increasing day by day, more easily, to identify the tendencies and deficiencies in this subject and to guide the researchers. As of April 30. 2022, 1638 studies have been reached in ISAM, and the number has reached 1430 when the studies including the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge course and sermons are excluded. These 1430 studies were analyzed using a bibliometric analysis method. These studies were divided into various categories and analyzed according to the type of publication, place of publication, authors, author title, number of authors, academic departments and fields of the authors, years of publication, language of publication, research method, subject, religion, country/nation and development theory. . Some of the most basic results are as follows: 149 of the 1430 studies are publications affiliated with the Diyanet, 588 were carried out by a doctoral faculty member, 1377 were single-authored. With the opening of the third generation theology, the number of researches increased from 19.11% annually to 73.33%. Writing in a foreign language is less preferred. The number of studies produced by quantitative and qualitative field studies is 47. This situation shows that there is a need for studies that can be produced by field studies. In terms of the subject, 40% is directed towards the work/person. While studies as a country are specific to Turkey, there are few studies based on moral and moral education in any country other than Turkey and in any religion except Islam. Studies on developmental theories are also scarce. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
