Abstract

The argument of the salvation of humanity through art is a fundamental theme of modernity that has been shaped since Schiller. The issue is inserted today in the posthuman paradigm, it would seem to lead to the question: Will beauty save the world of humanity? In any case, what beauty? This is the question on which the reflection will turn from the analysis of the thesis of Federico Varcellone, read from a double perspective: that of the social philosophy of Byung-Chul Han to Gilles Lipovestsky and the hermeneutical criticism of Daniel Payot to Franco Rella.
