Abstract

【Objective】The study aimed to explore the ecological security pattern of Kashi region to provide ecological guarantee for regional ecological security protection and sustainable development of oasis region. 【Method】The paper analyzed and identified ecological source sites based on Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis model and landscape connectivity, applied Minimal Cumulative Resistance model and gravity model to identify and analyze ecological corridors connecting each ecological source site, and combined ecological break-point identification and ecological network analysis to enhance the regional ecological security pattern.【Result】 (i) The ecological patches in Kashi had a high area share and a good ecological safety foundation, but the large number of patches and large area differences led to a large fragmentation of ecological patches and a large ecological safety potential. (ii) The distribution of ecological patches, ecological source sites and core ecological source sites formed an obvious differentiated zoning, and 16 core ecological source sites were finally identified. (iii) 66 ecological corridors with a total length of 5693.356 kilometers were identified, and their role of connecting ecological source sites was good. (iv) The ecological security pattern of 'one source, one corridor, two zones, two belts, three cores and three axes' was proposed, which provided the priority for ecological security protection. 【Conclusion】The construction and restoration of ecological security pattern in Kashi prefecture was of great significance to regional ecological security.
