Abstract
- I would like to respond to a paper by Tatzer et al.[1] in which they claim that there is "no evidence" that Hans Asperger knew about Nazi "child euthanasia" at Am Spiegelgrund in Vienna when he referred two patients there, who later died. Response to Tatzer et al: Their paper on what Asperger knew about Nazi "child euthanasia" does not provide a rigorous assessment of the available evidence Tatzer et al concede that Asperger probably knew of the August 1939 decree to report children with severe disabilities to the public health offices, which laid the groundwork for the "child euthanasia" programme.
